The Unfinished is me, Matt Bowdler, a composer and sound designer based in London.
My music has been featured on the BBC, ITV and Sky, and I have written a number of short film and game scores. I am currently working on my first feature film soundtrack.
As a sound designer, I have worked on Hollywood films such as Olympus Has Fallen and Need For Speed, and have worked with composers such as Trevor Morris, Jason Graves, Paul Haslinger, Sascha Dikiciyan and Sheridan Tongue.
I have also provided original sound design and synth programming for companies such as Spectrasonics, Spitfire Audio and Access synths. My commercial synth soundsets and sample libraries are regularly used in Hollywood movies, AAA game scores and hit TV shows around the world. When not writing music and making strange noises, I like to travel with my wife (especially around Scandinavia), make a pretence of being a competent photographer and occasionally make the odd short film. And now I have recently become a father, I enjoy being covered in stale milk and poo.
My music blends modern electronic synth sound design with neo-classical orchestral flavours, to provide an intimate and atmospheric cinematic flavour.
Bespoke collections of synth patches for both software and hardware are my forte, with a number of leading film and game composers as existing clients.
The studio is equipped with instruments, drums, synths, effects, samplers, recorders and microphones, to create unique and eclectic noises.
